Domaine Georges Noellat Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Chaumes 2015

The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru has a cohesive, focused bouquet of pure red cherries, bergamot and undergrowth scents and nicely integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannin and well- judged acidity. Touches of spice and blood orange toward the sustained finish complete a really quite joyful 2015 Burgundy. Tasted blind, the 2015 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes was also showing well in its lavish, dramatic style, bursting with aromas of dark berries, spices and creamy high-quality new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, supple and pure, with juicy acids and an open-knit, giving profile. It's one of the finest renditions of Les Chaumes that I've tasted from Maxime.
