As expected, the 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is a noticeable step up from the Bonnes-Mares, as it is every year. Gorgeous red berries, wild hedgerows, and orange pith are mixed with light tertiary scents. The dark berry fruit is laced with black tea and framed by edgy tannins. There's very good tension in this Amoureuses, and the finish is tremendously long and vibrant. Sophisticated and long-term, it will gracefully mature over 20 or 30 years. Divine.
