Appearance: A very deep, dark crimson robe. Aroma: A rich, fruity, spicy and complex aroma. Taste: Very round and powerfull, long-lasting flavour. Consistant tannins, pleasantly woody with a deeper flavour of blackberry and chocolate. Pairs well with grilled meats, or meat prepared in sauces, game and cheeses.

Lastly, the 2022 Gigondas Les Hauts De Montmirail checks in as 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 20% Mourvèdre. It's another pure, balanced, incredibly impressive release from this estate that has a vivid ruby hue and offers tons of Provençal garrigue, violets, and peppery nuances, medium to full-bodied richness, and a core of both red and black fruits. It's already hard to resist yet will cruise for 10-12 years with ease.

The structured 2022 Gigondas Les Hauts de Montmirail aged partially in new French oak barriques. Medium ruby-colored, it sports a fragrant red fruit perfume, paired with cedar wood, orange blossom and crushed violet tones. On the palate, the 2022 offers solid flavor concentration along with grippy tannins that will benefit from three more years in bottle. This top-notch Gigondas ends with good energy on the savory finish.

Lots of cherries, raspberries, strawberries and some violets on the nose. Medium to full body with fine tannins. Round and well-balanced with juicy fruit at the center and a spicy edge. Focused and direct finish. Grenache, mourvedre and syrah. Drink or hold.

Matured 50% in new French oak, the 2022 Gigondas Les Hauts de Montmirail exhales a deep, earthy bouquet of licorice, dry thyme, garrigue and dark wild berries. Medium to full-bodied, dense and concentrated, it's framed by structured tannins, with a muscular mid-palate that remains long and elegant on the finish. This blend of 50% Grenache Noir, 30% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre will benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar and should keep nicely over the next decade.
