From flint soil, this rich wine with touches of spice is full and dense. Hints of toast and a tangy, still-youthful texture bring out power and potential. Drink from 2024.

Blanched almonds, crushed stones, fresh pears and pomelos on the nose. Concentrated and textured, with rich and dense layers and a full body. Lingering stony, smoky notes. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Sancerre Blanc d'Antan Terroir de Silex is crafted from vines planted in 1936 on flinty soils. Matured for one year on lees and two years in bottle before being released, it exhales a deep, complex bouquet despite a touch of sulfur, with aromas of ripe orchard fruits, herbs, exotic fruits, spices and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy with a deep core of fruit, it concludes with an elegant, nicely phenolic finish. Ripe without excess, it's approachable now but is also built to evolve gracefully.

The 2020 Sancerre d'Antan is a powerful, aromatic style of Sauvignon Blanc. It offers up rich blackcurrant flavors and dill alongside ripe lemon meringue. A hint of spritz opens up proceedings before it expands in the mouth, becoming rich and intense. Hailing from flint soils, it characteristically tightens and firms up on the straight-lined finish.
