A blend of 94% Sangiovese and 6% Pugnitello, the deeply hued 2015 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto San Marcellino comes from a selection of older vines and spent 24 months in 15% new oak (varying sizes). Rocking levels of smoked black cherries, licorice, loamy earth, and truffle give way to a medium to full-bodied, elegant Chianti that has moderate tannins, notable freshness, and a great finish.
