The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières is one of the more introverted wines in the range, unwinding to exhibit notes of lime zest, crisp Anjou pear, exotic fruits, white flowers and spices. Medium to full-bodied, chalky and saline, it may take on additional dimension with further élevage, but for now I'd rank this behind Charmes and Genevrières this year.

The 2020 Meursault Les Perrieres ler Cru has quite a rich bouquet with tropical tones, maybe to the detriment of the mineralite that is slightly masked at the moment. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, quite saline, lightly spiced with a vibrant finish that finally delivers the spiciness. Maybe pipped by the Les Charmes this year, this is a classy but not peak Perrieres. Bottled under Diam 30. Closure: Diam 30.
