Winderlea Pinot Noir 2014
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
Here is a bold, striking wine from the estate vineyard. Black cherries capture the core flavor of the Dundee Hills AVA, with substantial, somewhat grainy tannins. Highlights of coffee grounds add another dark note. Pair this with a thick, wild-caught salmon steak.
Saturated red. Intense, mineral-laced red berry preserve and cherry scents are complicated by hints of peppery spices, cola and vanilla. Smooth and expansive on the palate, offering ripe raspberry and cherry flavors that turn sweeter as the wine opens up. Shows excellent depth and energy and finishes long and sweet, displaying gentle tannins and echoing spiciness.
