A pungent red, sporting wild cherry, raspberry, sandalwood, licorice and earth flavors. Shows serious grip, along with oak spice and lingering sandalwood and leather accents. Balanced, leaving a coating of powdery tannins on the finish. Best from 2026 through 2045.

The 2019 Chambertin Grand Cru is well defined on the nose with brambly red fruit, rose petals, sous-bois and a light blood orange scent. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of rondeur, plush and generous. A sweet core of slightly pruney fruit with a touch of truffle appear towards the finish.
