Château-Jean-Faure Saint Émilion 2009
|Region||France, Bordeaux, St. Emilion|
Boosted by this great revelation, Jean Faure highlights the freshness of its Cabernets, which offered exquisite tension to this solar year. As of this vintage, it joined the ranks of the world's top wines, thanks to the straightforwardness of its Cabernets, which displayed highly sophisticated and elegant matter.
Richly juicy wine, with red berry fruits and ripe tannins. It is well balanced with black currant acidity cutting through the dark spice and wood. A wine for long-term aging.
A high-toned style, with red currant, pomegranate and raspberry aromas and flavors, supported by lively acidity that brings a racy blood orange note. The finish is pure and lengthy. Best from 2013 through 2023.
Roasted herbs that remind me of Provence intermixed with sweet kirsch, damp earth, spice box and a hint of background oak jump from the glass of this dense, plum/ruby/purple-colored wine. Ripe, low in acidity, nicely textured and rounds, this is another wine to drink over the next decade.
