With their dense, clay-based soils, Chassagne's lower lying climats are ideally suited to reds. This wine comes from a parcel of vines planted in the 1960s, a 1.06-hectare plot in the middle of the village. Again, Lamy worked with roughly 50% whole bunches, raised the cuvée in used barrels and did not sulphur the wines at all until bottling. Olivier Lamy's reds are getting more precise and offering more and more finesse. This is a perfect example of this reality and yet again, it is outstanding value.
Wine Advocate
- wa90
Offering up aromas of red berries, orange zest, sweet spices and petals, the 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet La Goujonne is medium-bodied, rich and concentrated, with powdery tannins, lively acids and a sweet core of fruit.
Vinous

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet La Goujonne Rouge has a perfumed bouquet, kirsch and maraschino cherries, the 80% whole bunch neatly disguised. The palate offers crunchy red fruit, quite "square", some chewiness on the back palate at the moment, so afford this 18 months in bottle.
