Bursting from the glass with aromas of vine blossom, orange zest, crisp white peach and honeycomb, the 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir is medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a seamless, elegantly fleshy profile and lively balancing acids. As is often the case, it's one of the more demonstrative grand cru bottlings in the range, yet its track record for longevity is impressive.

The 2020 Chablis Vaudesir Grand Cru, cropped at 35h1/ha, feels a bit simple on the nose following on from the impressive Bougros and never really gets going. The palate is well balanced, quite leesy and powerful, and smooth in texture, but it needs to muster more complexity on the finish. Fine, but outclassed by its fellow Grand Crus in this vintage.
