The 2019 Volnay "Vendange Sélectionée" comes from four parcels located just under the Premier Crus that tends to have more complexity and structure. There is a clear difference on the nose compared to the Village Cru with deeper red berry fruit that is certainly more intense. The palate is beautifully balanced with chalky tannins, red fruit with a lovely piquancy on the finish that fans out wonderfully. Superb.

Deeper and more age-worthy, the 2019 Volnay Vendanges Sélectionées delivers pretty notions of rose petals, violets, plums and berries, complemented by rich bass notes of loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's bright and penetrating, built around refined tannins and tangy acids.
