Adler Deutsch Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
Adler Deutsch Vineyard sits on the northwest corner of the West Rutherford Bench. The soil is regarded as some of the best in the Napa Valley for cultivating the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Its loamy, well-drained topography is ideal for this grape varietal. Adler Deutsch Vineyard is farmed with long-term sustainability in mind and is part of an on-going effort to maintain and enhance the quality of air, soil and water. Sustainable practices include water conservation, reduced-risk fungicides and a proprietary blend of cover crops. The irrigation system divides it into four separate blocks to preserve water resources and to better address the needs of individual vines. Nitrogen-fixing legumes are planted annually to restore the soil's nutrients and to stimulate better entomology, eliminating the need for synthetic fertilizers.
