A plush, polished red, featuring marinated cherry, plum and rose notes and flourishes of blood orange and cinnamon flavors. Dense, yet offers a core of sweet, ripe fruit detail and enough concentration to tame the dense, burly tannins. Best from 2022 through 2038. 25 cases imported.

Bright red-ruby. Initially unforthcoming nose opened with air to offer aromas of black cherry, licorice and violet; some very ripe, liqueur-like notes are lurking but this wine is fresher than the Chambolle premier cru. Then surprisingly closed on the palate, with the sucrosité of the vintage leavened by impressive inner-mouth tension. This rather powerfully structured premier cru finishes with firm tannins and serious length.
