Kosta Browne Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir 2009

Aromatics: Fresh raspberries, ripe cranberry, pomegranate, red apple skins, citrus and a subtle dose of tangerine zest. On the Palate: Sweet Rainier cherries, raspberries, pomegranate and soft notes of cola. Rich raspberry and a dose of cream lead to a silky finish. Medium weight onthe palate and bursting with juicy acidity and intense red fruit character. Focused and yet, very pretty and elegant.

Wine SpectatorAromas of cola, black licorice, loganberry, mineral and spice are tight, structured, focused and concentrated, fanning out nicely on the finish. Gains depth and detail, ending with a red candy aftertaste. Drink now through 2018.

Wine AdvocateThe 2009 Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch Vineyard is an unusually restrained wine, a Russian River Pinot. Bright red fruit, cranberries, sweet flowers and spices are some of the many notes that flow across the palate. This is one of the more silky wines in the lineup. All of the elements flow together gracefully in this beautifully balanced Pinot. Bright, lively acidity reappears to frame the elegant finish. The Keefer was made with 100% destemmed fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017.
