Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Chapelle Chambertin 2014

Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Chapelle Chambertin 2014

SKU 11376

Limpid and brilliant, the Domaine's Chapelle-Chambertin has a woody vanilla nose with a slight floral touch. On the palate, its controlled and subtle tannins ensure elegance, subtlety and a majestic quality and its aromatic subtlety suggests fruit, spices and wood. Its pure features convey plenty of style. The tannins are tender and supple. However, we are brought back to order by its complexity and mineral liveliness on the finish. Food Match: Chapelle-Chambertin goes well with a haunch of venison, a deer fillet with boletus mushrooms or a woodcock with chestnuts.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a noticeable dark colour. There is plenty of dark cherry and black plum fruit on the nose, quite fresh with violet scents developing with aeration, though not a complex bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with quite fine tannin and well judged acidity. It is a linear Chapelle-Chambertin, a "correct" grand cru with a straightlaced finish that needs just a little more persistence.
