Domaine Laroche Chablis Les Vaillons Vieilles Vignes 2015
Wine SpectatorRich, featuring peach, apple and pastry flavors. Offers plenty of juicy acidity. The finish lingers, with harmony and a buried mineral element. Drink now through 2020. 150 cases imported.
Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons Vieilles Vignes comes from 45-year-old vines and is raised for six months in demi-muids (30%) and foudres. It has a rich and slightly buttery bouquet that is actually attractive, albeit without translating the essence of Chablis terroir. The palate is rounded on the entry, quite honeyed in style but it clearly lacks tension and race on the finish. It is pleasant enough, so drink over the next four or five years.
