Domaine Meo-Camuzet Clos de Vougeot 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Is this a wine which expresses the Cistercian rigour which gave birth to it? No, its image is rather that of a refined gentleman: the grapes mature early here, but still give wines of great finesse, with a lace-like texture which lines the palate, and superb length.

Wine SpectatorImpressive for the fruit purity, this red exudes black currant, cherry, raspberry and floral aromas and flavors. Well-balanced and firm, with a chalky sensation on the lingering finish. Shows fine potential. Best from 2022 through 2043. 750 cases made.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru feels just a little timid on the nose at first and needs some coaxing from the glass. The palate is better with more material than the nose implies, the acidity well judged, but it does not quite flow like the best Clos Vougeot that I have encountered this vintage, or indeed the domaine's superlative Corton 2014s. Drink Date: 2017-2030.
