Domaine Michel Niellon Chassagne Montrachet Les Vergers 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Les Vergers is on the more gentle part of the slope north of the village of Chassagne, with clay and gravelly limestone soils. This climat gives the wine a crisp mineral profile layered over silky citrus and orchard fruit notes. The vines were planted in 2001.

Wine SpectatorA fine, cohesive white, whose peach, apple and spice flavors converge seamlessly with the plush texture. Still firm on the finish, which bodes well for future development. A lemon note lingers on the finish. Best from 2019 through 2027. 79 cases imported.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Vergers, matured in around 25% new wood, has more cohesion on the nose compared to the Champs Gain. For want of a better expression - there is more "Chassagne" here. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with a fine line of acidity, a palpable sense of energy with hints of orange rind and dried peach towards the tensile finish. Not bad at all.
