Hamacher Williamette Valley Pinot Noir 2011
Wine AdvocateThe 2011 Pinot Noir, which sees 18 months in 30% new French oak, has a "considered" bouquet that politely unfolds with blackberry and briary scents. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannin, lovely red cherry and redcurrant scents with a hint of tomato vine on the suave and elegant finish. What a beautifully made Pinot Noir.
Wine SpectatorGamy flavors shoulder past the fruit in this firm-textured red. There are solid ripe plum and berry notes in the background, but the meaty accents prevail. Best from 2016 through 2019. 600 cases made.
