Pride Mountain Vineyards Chardonnay 2004

Pride Mountain Vineyards Chardonnay 2004

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Signifying a slight change of direction while not forgetting what you love about our Chardonnay, 2004 is the first vintage of Pride Chardonnay where we have reduced the percentage of new oak and malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine displays a charming delicacy and a bright acidity. The only wine we produce from non-estate fruit, the honey and lemon flavors characteristic of the Carneros region flood the palate, enhanced by the very subtle use of French Oak barrels. A long, languorous finish encourages you to linger over every sip.

ChampagneGuide.netThere are clear family ties between this ambitiously oaked wine and its sibling above, but this one is both a bit fruitier in content and slightly more temperate in ripeness. If not quite as blustery, it is also not quite as rich, and it coarsens a touch at the finish. It too wants drinking with bolder foods and will hold its own with richly sauced salmon.
