Aubert Reuling Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009

Aubert Reuling Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009

SKU C057

Color and clarity, please notice how clear and healthy our wine is. A medium red color, varietal correct color saturation is very apparent. Initially, I find aromatics of Asian spices, very good interplay of strawberry and even raspberries. After the primary fruits change there are tell tale Reuling Vineyard signatures-black tea and red Burgundy styled wine. Across the palate you feel the ripeness and a wonderful acid structure for aging. The wine finishes with enough phenolic material that will allow further development in the bottle. Our suggested drink is now till 2020.

Wine AdvocateThe 2009 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard, which comes from a clone from one of Burgundy's most famous Vosne-Romanee vineyards as well as the Calera clone, exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, a cool climate, raspberry and red cherry-scented bouquet, hints of bluer fruits in the mouth, lots of depth and richness, and good acidity, spice and elegance. This medium to full-bodied 2009 is not as powerful and rich as the 2008 and 2007, and in that sense it is more Burgundian texturally and weight-wise.

Wine SpectatorIntense and spicy, marked by a tight band of fresh-turned earth and dried blueberry and wild berry flavors that show savory floral scents. Ends with loamy tannins. More tightly knit than past Aubert Pinots. Best from 2013 through 2023. 252 cases made.
