Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay Vendanges Sélectionnées 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The entire Domaine was converted to biodynamic farming in 2000 - a natural progression of the Lafarge philosophy which aims to improve harmony between the soil, the vines and the people who cultivate them. The Lafarge wines are characterized by a finely-tuned combination of refinement and structure. Whatever the vintage, their balance and individuality is always evident.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Volnay Vendanges Selectionnées, which sees a whopping 7% new oak, has a reserved, quite tertiary bouquet that is nicely defined with briary and rooibos notes developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, quite firm in the mouth and perhaps just missing some flesh on the finish to prevent it from becoming a bit austere, a bit unfriendly. Hopefully it will gain charm by the time it is in bottle.
