Domaine Arlaud Clos de la Roche 2013

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The name comes the rock that is the Sub-soil of this parcel. Also might refer to Celtic times when the Gauls were doing sacrifice on a rock just above the Clos. Aromas of purple flowers, baking spices, wild strawberries. Structured yet juicy; silky, with more spice on the finish. PAIRING: Autumn flavors, such as pork roast with chestnuts, wild mushrooms.

Wine AdvocateTasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a subdued nose that feels a little disjointed at the moment, certainly with some reduction issues. The palate is medium-bodied with stringy tannin, chewy in the mouth with a dry finish that feels a little scalped. It seems to deteriorate in the glass and I speculate how representative this bottle is, therefore I will refrain from any score. Tasted September 2016.
