Domaine Ramonet Puligny Montrachet Les Enseignères 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Les Enseignères is considered one of the best Puligny-Montrachet Village vineyard, adjacent to the Grand Cru Bienvenue Bâtard-Montrachet. On the nose, the wine exhibits discreet wood notes, floral and green apple aromas intertwined in a background of citrus and lemon. Great precision, detail and intensity define this wine with rich, opulent middle weight flavors that lead to a persistent finish. Serious and worth considering, it combines the characters of a Puligny-Montrachet with a powerful frame similar to a Grand Cru. Vines were planted in 1972.

Wine SpectatorThere's a creamy lushness to this white, with vivid acidity underlining the seashore, lime, apple, mineral and spice flavors. Stretches out nicely on the lingering finish. Best from 2018 through 2028. 25 cases imported.

BurghoundOnce again there is just enough wood present to remark upon on the essence of pear, apple, citrus and floral-inflected aromas. There is both solid density and verve to the rich but beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors that possess a firm but not hard, aggressive or austere acid spine, all wrapped in a sappy and palate coating finale. This is a terrific Puligny villages and if it can continue to add depth my rating may very well prove to be overly conservative. In sum, lovely juice with fine development potential.
