Chateau Larose Perganson Haut Medoc 2009
|Brand||Chateau Larose Perganson|
Wine AdvocateA sleeper of the vintage and impressive is their cuvee called Larose Perganson, which in 2009 is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot. It has the silkiness of its sibling, but is fuller-bodied, with more layers of fruit and glycerin and a heady finish (14.3% alcohol). It is opulent and pure, with loads of cassis, black raspberry and licorice notes backed up with some subtle oak. Drink it over the next decade.
Wine SpectatorOpen and slightly soft, with friendly red currant and cherry preserves notes backed by just enough floral and iron twinges to keep this honest on the finish. Drink now.
